Elisa: The CEO and Spanish ELE and Italian L2 Teacher
Elisa Calcinari is a bilingual teacher born in Italy who began to discover the importance of learning foreign languages in 2004 when, at just 14 years old, her parents gave her the precious opportunity to study English in Dublin.
This formative experience awakened her inner adventurous spirit, leading her to live in Salamanca and study for a while at its prestigious University, besides traveling all over the world.
She eventually relocated to Fuerteventura, Canary Islands, where she currently resides in a charming fishing village.
Education and Academic Training
Education has been a constant companion throughout Elisa’s life journey: she graduated from a Classical High School, earned a degree in Literature from the University of RomaTre, and specialized in Language Teaching, obtaining two Masters in “Teaching Italian as a Foreign Language” from the Universities of Perugia and Venice.
After that, Elisa actively began her productive collaboration with the renowned Dante Alighieri Language School at its central headquarters in Rome only at the age of 27.
These were busy and fulfilling years, including collaboration with the University of Santa Croce, where she taught Italian as a second language.
Languages Levels and Certificates
Then came 2020, and the pandemic altered the course of events: after several months of online teaching, Elisa decided it was time to fulfill her dream of living in Fuerteventura.
Thanks to her experience, her Masters, and her proficiency in the Spanish language, certified at DELE NIVEL C2 -MAESTRIA-, she embarked on her journey of teaching Spanish as a second language.
In November 2022, she obtained the Master en ELE (Español Lengua Extranjera) and in November 2023, after successfully completing an examination at the Cervantes Institute in Stockholm, she became an official examiner for the Cervantes Institute for B1/B2 level DELE exams.
