Teaching Methodology

The methodology used at Habla_Eli is communicative, departing from traditional teaching methods.

The communicative approach centers around a simple concept: “use the language to do”.

But what does this mean? Essentially, language is viewed as a tool that allows us to act in a foreign social context, making it a practical instrument.

From the very first classes, this principle is embraced: we learn together how to ask for the time in a Spanish-speaking context, introduce ourselves, state personal information, make purchases in a market, or shop for appliances.

We immediately learn to discuss our habits, preferences, work, and hobbies, progressing to a level where we can express opinions, doubts, and desires.

Throughout this journey, grammar plays a fundamental role and is an integral part of the lessons.

However, it is not perceived as something to be memorized “just because”.

Instead, guided by our teacher, students actively engage with grammar as they playfully discover and trace the grammatical rules, facilitating long-term acquisition.

The Educational Materials used have been carefully selected by the School Director after extensive study and research.

They include authentic materials or those created by the CEO herself.

Each lesson offers the opportunity to work with effective and entertaining videos, interesting audio or podcasts on Spanish culture, customs, and traditions, as well as newspaper or magazine articles on current topics.

Elisa also incorporates fun games she has created, such as Escape Room or digital games.

Additionally, there is an option for a Spanish culture class taught by a native Castilian speaker, covering literature, art, and famous Spanish traditions (the Culture class is not included in the packages and has an additional cost, with details provided by Elisa upon request).
